The Historic Happy Cooker
The Happy Cooker was first opened in 1974 serving breakfast and specialty waffles.
Through the years not much has changed. We continue to provide homemade meals from original recipes we have kept in the family for years.
We are considered a long-time icon in the town of Georgetown. Our restaurant is located in a National Historic District. Historic Georgetown sits at an elevation of 8,530 feet (2,600 m) above sea level, nestled in the mountains near the upper end of the valley of Clear Creek County.
Although a small town today, the town was a historic center of the mining industry in Colorado during the late 19th century, earning the nickname the “Silver Queen of Colorado”.
We are family owned and operated, and most of our Staff are family members as well. Our goal is to provide you with a happy dining experience.
